"Grosso" (Lavandula x intermedia) is the most widely grown culivar of lavender for oil production.This cultivar has the highest oil content of all the lavenders. Our Essential oil is steam distilled using fresh, not dried, material. "Grosso" oil is higher in camphor (think Vic's Vapor Rub) compounds then the Angustifolia counterparts. For centuries they have been valued for their antimicrobial properties.
